CASSIAH JOSKI-JETHI

Ever since a young age, Cassiah knew that she would be a writer and director, unable to escape from imagining stories and films in her head. 

 

After graduating from the University of Birmingham in July 2014 with a First Class Honours degree in BA Drama and Theatre Arts, Cassiah began her career working for writer/director/producer Gurinder Chadha OBE after a chance meeting on a train.

 

Cassiah is now an award-winning writer and director for stage and screen represented by Independent, selected for the BRIT List 2024, BFI Network@LFF 2024 and BFI Midlands Directors Lab 2025. Cassiah's films have been funded by BBC Studios and the BFI. She is also currently a BAFTA Connects member, has been a BBC New Creative (2020) and BFI Network X BAFTA Crew member (2018-2021).
