Cassiah offers low-cost, flexible workshops to filmmakers, offering insight into developing, writing and making their own short films, feature films, and tv projects - all the way from the conception of an idea and beyond. Cassiah also focuses on career development, and offers bespoke mentoring sessions and script feedback to aspiring writers and directors. Cassiah's films have been funded by BFI and BBC, winning awards and screening across the UK and internationally. As well as running these services independently, Cassiah has run similar workshops for the BFI, Birmingham Film and Screen School, and multiple Universities throughout the UK. She is also a BFI Network and ScreenSkills mentor.
Cassiah offers both one-off mentoring sessions, and a six-week block of mentoring sessions. The cost of booking a one-off 1hr mentoring session is £75. A cost of booking a block of x6 1hr mentoring sessions is at a discounted rate of £375. Script reading and feedback services are also available for an additional fee.
Cassiah's workshops take place over 3 evenings online, and include The Short Film Series and Writer's Professional Career Development Series. The total cost is £100 inclusive of all three sessions, and individual mentoring is optional for an additional discounted fee of £50.
Cassiah was a great presenter – super personable and totally engaging throughout! Presenting for 2 hours on zoom is not easy but Cassiah delivered the content with ease and confidence and the sessions really felt like they flew by! A great introduction to short filmmaking for anyone interested in bringing their ideas to life on screen!

It’s not very often that I leave a course feeling like I got exactly what I was looking for, but I actually felt that with this. I needed a brief introduction in what is involved in creating a short film and I feel really well-informed now. Like I could actually start the process now. It’s incredibly good value for money, really thorough and well organised.
